Getting that Model Look
Looking like a model wouldn’t (and shouldn’t) require you to buy expensive bags, signature clothes, or expensive jewelry and other accessories. The secret of models, novice or seasoned alike, is being easy and confident with their own skin. They exude class by carrying themselves with almost any style. Most importantly, models are comfortable and happy with the way they look.
Here’s how to get in touch with your inner model.
First, get fit. It doesn’t mean skinny. Having a fit body means living a healthy lifestyle. Exercise, eat properly, and drink plenty of water. You are what you eat so it is important to monitor what you eat if you want to achieve and maintain the weight you desire. You don’t have to be thin to look like a model. As long as you’re happy and comfortable with the way you look, you’ll definitely look fabulous inside and out.
Second, watch your posture.
How you stand up, walk, and sit affect how people perceive you. Perk that chin up, throw you shoulders back, relax, and breeze through the pavement with poise and confidence. While at home, you can practice correct posture by putting some books on your head while wearing alternative apparel sweatshirts, or jeans. You’ll know you have mastered the perfect posture when the books aren’t falling as you walk. Practice and be patient. It may take a while before you perfect it but it’s definitely worth it.
Lastly, be fashionable. This doesn’t mean wearing expensive clothes or strutting with signature accessories. Being fashionable entails learning about your body type, height, skin tone, and style preferences. Discover what looks good on you and with a few mixing and matching, fashion will grace your wardrobe. Choose an inspiration that resembles your style, browse through fashion magazines, and head on to any alternative apparel sale. Again, you don’t have to spend a lot of money to get that model look. Clothes don’t make the model. They just augment her look.
Be updated with the latest trends, and read up on what style fits well with the contours of your body. You don’t need expensive stuff to look like a model. You just have to be confident, innovative, and knowledgeable of what’s in and out. Always look out for any alternative apparel sale in your area. And lastly, you have to be happy with the way you look, no matter what other people say.
